Three Days in Classical Jordan Jarash, Petra and More
A three day trip to the classic world-famous sites of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. We visit the ancient cities of Petra and Jarash, the church with the Madaba map, Mount Nevo and enjoy a short hike and a dip in hot springs in the middle of the desert.
The general itinerary: cross the border - drive and visit Jarash – full day at Perta – Mount Nevo – Madaba map –Hammamat Maayan -reenter Israel at the northern entry to Israel.
Day One: Cross the border at Beit- Shean (north of Israel) and drive south along the "Harower" major canal on the Jordan. Drive up the Gilad mountains to the 1000-pillar city of Jarash for an aesthetic archeological experience. Drive south on a scenic road to Petra where we spend the night.
Day Two: Spend the day in the awe-inspiring Nabetian capital "Petra". Walk the red sandstone canyons, delve into colorful stone halls and climb to an unusual lookout over the Nabetian Theater, visit the kings' tombs and the grand temple and cardo "Palace of the Pharaoh's Daughter". After lunch, climb the biggest monument in Petra to view ancient stone reliefs in hidden creeks. Take in a panoramic view of Israel and return to the bus for a drive to "Moses Spring", the biblical site associated with Moses miraculously producing water from a rock. Drive to Madaba where we will spend the night.
Day Three: With the rising sun we will visit the church housing the most famous and ancient map of Israel dating back to Byzantine times: the Madaba map. Drive to Nevo Mountain for a spectacular view of Israel, the spot from which Moses saw the promised lend.
In The Cold Season we will Finish the trip with a drive to the spring Hammamat Ma'in for a dip in special natural hot springs in the desert.
Drive to the border and cross to Israel.
The price includes: - Professional guiding.
- Two nights’ in hotel accommodations,
including breakfast and dinner.
- A Jordanian guide and policeman, as required by the Jordanian law.
- Entrance fees to all sites, No additional handling costs!
- Tour bus rental (or mini-bus according to the size of the group).
- Visa to Jordan.
- All the official documentation required for touring in Jordan.
- 50 NIS non-refundable registration fee.
The price does not include: - Border fees in Israel and in Jordan and special bus fee from one side of the border to the other (together 105 NIS)
- Health insurance – each participant must insure him/her self. - Tips to local service people (about 15-20$ a person).
- Lunch- picnics or restaurants.
Important information:
- Changes in the itinerary may occur at the professional staff's discretion.
- Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return-date.
Refunds: Due to payments to Jordanian suppliers we will refund according to the following conditions:
Notification of cancellation up to 21 days before the trip: Full refund
Notification of cancellation between 21 to 14 days before the trip: 80% refund
Notification of cancellation 7 to 13 days before the trip: 50% refund
Notification of cancellation up to 6 days before the trip: No refund
